Restoration

At Cross Creek, we believe that God is actively working through his church to bring restoration on earth where brokenness abounds. When the Good News as contained in Scripture comes to people’s hearts and transforms them, those people will necessarily and intentionally impact culture. Consequently, we firmly believe that the cure for the world’s social problems is not found in governments but in the Good News of Scripture changing hearts and lives.

And so we long for the passion of the Apostle Paul who wrote, “I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.’ (1 Corinthians 9:22)
As the Good News changes hearts and lives:

1.    Individuals are reconciled to God through Christ.
2.    Families are reconciled and marriages are saved.
3.    People find meaning in Christ which liberates them from:
       a. “Workaholism” and its devastation of families.
       b. Materialism and the tyranny of debt that comes with it.
       c. Emptiness and the need to find fulfillment.
4.    The poor are cared for and the lonely are befriended.
5.    People with addictions find deliverance.
6.    Justice and mercy replace injustice and oppression.

The Good News of human history is that God invites us through Jesus Christ to renew our relationship with Him and also with each other. To be sure, restoration may look different for each of us since each of us is different, unique and valuable. But the result is always the same – A RESTORED LIFE FOR THE BETTER!

If the "church-thing" has been a mystery, a bore, unfriendly
or frankly a weird experience, we understand. We admit that it has been done

wrong in many ways, and while we cannot promise to be perfect,
we hope you will find Cross Creek a place where you can connect,
examine and taste a different way of thinking
and interacting with God.
